Ghost Whisperer: Season Finale

Hey all,

One of my favorite television series is Ghost Whisperer. It is such a wonderful series. Even for those who don’t believe in ghosts, I think this series gives people something to think about. I’m not sure if I believe in ghosts, but I do believe that there’s more to this world then what we can see with our eyes. Call it a sixth sense, ghosts, the afterlife, reincarnation or whatever you believe in, it is my believe that it’s not only the living who are here on this world.

And where does that lead?
Weird as it may seem, but I think this believe is one of the reasons I like to watch series that are, let’s just say, about the paranormal. I’ve seen Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, Charmed, Roswell, and lots of other series. One of the series that caught my attention is Ghost Whisperer. If you look at the past of human life, I think lots of people have lost contact with what is called the other plains, the ghostly world, or whatever you wanna call it. We’re all so materialistic now that it’s hard to imagine that there can be more then just that what we can see.

The way Ghost Whisperer is set up is something I really like. And therefore I was glad the series aired here in the Netherlands as well. Granted, we’re usually about half a year behind, but now it seems we’re catching up with the States. Due to the fact that I work in the evenings too, I haven’t seen the latest episodes yet, but a colleague of mine gave me the address of a site where I can watch episodes and that’s where I’ve seen the season Finale of Season 4.

The Season Finale
I love the whole Sam/Jim line and the fact that Jim now realizes again who he is, is wonderful. I absolutely love the thrill of this episode and the way both Melinda and Jim deal with everything. I don’t want to spoil everything, so for those who haven’t seen the episode yet, I won’t tell how it goes. All I can say is that this is a wonderful episode and I can’t wait to see the premiere in September. I hope that the people who have uploaded the episodes on the site where I watched this episode, will upload the new episodes as soon as they have aired. I can’t imagine having to wait a hell of a lot longer.

I do wonder about the role of the baby, but I guess that’s something we’ll all have to wait and see.

Supernatural and Romance
Although this series is about the supernatural, I love the fact that at least in this series the lead character, Melinda, has found true love and that she has a good relationship. I’ve seen so many series in which the lead character and supporting character have lots of tension, but no relationship, or a destructive relationship, that this just is something different.

Downloads or DVD’s?
I know that with viewing the episodes on the internet, people usually don’t buy the DVD’s anymore. After all, they’ve already got the episodes. Not me though. I love to buy the DVD’s! Not only is the quality usually a lot better than what you download, but you’ll usually have a lot of extra’s and I always watch those on the DVD’s too. So…. Download now, buy later

A word for the cast and crew
To Jennifer and all others who work on the show: Keep up the wonderful work. I hope you can continue for lots of more new seasons. I think it will be very interesting to see the child grow up and to see Melinda and Jim, and everyone else, grow even more than they already have!

Well, I’ve gotta go. I have to get ready for work. I have to start in about an hour and then I’ll have to work until 8pm tonight
